Disney’s Old Key West resort remains a great choice for an adults only vacation or seniors trip to Walt Disney World. It’s rooms are the most spacious in all of Walt Disney World.
Sure, it is also great for young families with young children.
Yet this room tour is different. It is by a senior, me! It is meant for older adults and seniors. It focuses on what we typically want when we stay on vacation, including a Walt Disney World vacation.
This Disney Vacation Club (DVC) resort literally started it all. Last fall, I stayed at a 1 bedroom villa at Disney’s Old Key West resort. I had stayed there previously but in a studio unit.
This one bedroom at Disney’s Old Key West resort was a wonderful surprise. I shouldn’t say ‘surprise’ because I was well aware how large they were. I had just never stayed in one recently. Yet, once inside I was surprised with all the room everywhere in the one bedroom DVC unit.
Join me as I explore the 1 bedroom unit with the huge rooms and even more impressive the huge lanai out back. Adults and seniors on vacation for a few days or a few weeks will love this resort and the guest rooms.
Well, after watching the 1 bedroom room tour, what do you think? Have you stayed here before in a one bedroom? Let us know in the comments to the video or to this article. We’d love to hear from you.
Curious what the onsite restaurant, Olivia’s, is like at Disney’s Old Key West Resort? Here is a link to our review of both our breakfast and a dinner at Olivia’s Restaurant.
Since my retirement, we’ve enjoyed a longer vacation in January at Disney’s Old Key West resort. We LOVE the one-bedroom villas! They’re the perfect “home away from home” for seniors. We buy groceries and also bring non-perishables along since we drive from our northern state. We cook most of our own meals, thus saving money. We enjoy walking around the resort and sometimes to Saratoga Springs. We love bird-watching and bring our binoculars along. The boat ride to Disney Springs is delightful. We take buses to the parks, and have never found the wait to be too long. It’s such a wonderful resort for seniors!
Hi Jan,
That’s our plan too! Nancy has a few more years to go until she retires but when she does we plan to spend much of the winter in Florida including at WDW staying at the relaxing resorts like Old Key West (great 1 bedrooms) and Saratoga Springs…..and ….more.
