Disney’s Aulani Is For Seniors: The Surprising Character Breakfast

Seniors, listen up. The character reakfast at Disney’s Aulani, or more properly named Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa is for you. Do not think it is just for children. It is not. There are several adult aspects for this special activity.

When go are at Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa, you may not think that the Disney character breakfast at the Makahiki restaurant is for adults.

Yet, I can tell you that there are many aspects to this breakfast that really are meant for adults and seniors, that young children will not really appreciate.

This article is a summary of the video review we did on our Nancy and Dan Travel To Disney YouTube channel for older adults and seniors. If you want to skip the rest of this summary and simply watch the short video, here is the link to the video for you:

Where Is the Character Breakfast?

Where exactly is the Disney Character Breakfast at Disney’s Aulani?

It is located on the first floor, which is also the ground floor, of the main Aulani building. The lobby where you check-in, the terrace, retail stores, and so on are located on the 3rd floor. To get to the Makahiki restaurant you can take the elevators or the stairs.

The picture below is from the waiting area where you are directly to sit after check-in. Beautify Disney art for adults and seniors to enjoy.

And, yes you just might get some behind the scenes views of Disney characters that puts a smile on everyone’s face!

Before you are seated at your table your party are brought to an outdoor area. This is where you can have your pictures taken with the boss, Mickey Mouse, in his Hawaiian attire. This was a lot of fun for Nancy and I.

Mickey was very interactive with us. Not having to wait in like for a half an hour or a full hour sometimes to get your picture with Mickey is something that everyone of all ages can appreciate not just adults and seniors.

The photographer took numerous pictures of us as part of the optional photo package. And then, as they do at the Disney parks, he asked if I wanted him to take pictures with my camera. This was so we would still have some if we didn’t want to purchase the Character Breakfast photo package which was great.
