Why would seniors want or need Lightning Lane at any of the theme parks at Walt Disney World?
In the Disney for Seniors Facebook Group, there has been a lot of discussion if it is worth the cost at any of these theme parks.
So, Nancy and I went to Disney’s Hollywood Studios to test it for ourselves.

We purchased both the Lighting Lane Multi Pass and the Lightning Lane Single Pass. Our test date was Monday November 25, 2025.
This article summarizes our experience with both types of these time saving offerings.
If you want to see for yourself our experience at Disney’s Hollywood Studios using these two of Disney’s Lightning Lane offerings, here is the full video that you can watch fo yourself right now. We even show you how to change an existing Multi Pass attraction reservation on your smart phone…….as I had to.
Cost Of These Two Lightning Lane Products
Nancy purchased our Lightning Lane Single and Multi Passes for our day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
She purchased the Single Pass for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance shown here at a cost of $25 for each of us, plus tax.

Then she purchased the Multi Pass for Disney’s Hollywood Studios on the same day at a cost of $32 per person, plus tax.

Our total cost was including tax as you can see $121.42.

What Did We Experience at Disney’s Hollywood Studios?
Our first lightning Lane reservation started at 8:55 a.m. We finished our last attraction at 3:45 p.m. What did we accomplish in just under 7 hours at Disney’s Hollywood Studios?

Here are all the attractions, the breaks and the lunch we experienced at during this time:
- Tower of Terror – Multi Pass
- Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance – Single Pass
- Coffee Break
- Slinky Dog Dash – Multi Pass
- Green Army Guys Break
- Toy Story Mania Closed
- Adult Beverage Break
- First Time in Forever: Frozen Singalong – Multi Pass
- Lunch at 50’s Prime Time Cafe
- Star Tours: The Adventure Continues – Multi Pass
- Muppets 3D
- MIckey & Minnie Runaway Railway – Multi Pass

That is quite a lot for over seven hours. Yet, how much time did we save?
Summary of Lighting Lane Results for Us Seniors
We saved 50 minutes from the Single Pass at Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and a total of 3 hours and 40 minutes from the numerous Multi Pass attractions.
And, we could have gone back to Slinky Dog Dash and walked on. This was because it was initially down when our Multi Pass reservation started in the morning. In this situation you get what I like to call a ‘limited free pass’. It is limited becanse it is not good on all attractions. Yet, it is a ‘free pass’ because you can to one of the allowed attractions and basically just walk onto the Lightning Lane queue.
Our cost per person for the two of us was for the one Single Pass and the Multi Pass totled $121.42.
For that much money, we were able to experience seven attractions, three breaks of between 30 and 45 minutes each to relax, and a very nice lunch at 50’s Prime Time Cafe.
We saved a total of approxmiately 4 and 1/2 hours.
Was it worth the cost, especially as a seniors? Let us know in the comments.
